Somebody threatens the vice president. The person in charge of his defence (Froelich) cannot solve the mystery and more threats arrive. Froelich used to date Reacher's brother before he died (told you it was warped) and tracks down Reacher to ask for his help. They end up in bed together (did I say it was warped?) but they don't end up together for reasons which I will not divulge for fear of giving away the plot. Anyway, Reacher solves the mystery and all is well in the end. Unless you're Froelich (was that obvious enough?). This book can be pretty slow at times but the plot is well put together and it's worth a read.
