But what a corker. "What names have you got in mind?" I asked, keeping quiet those that I particularly liked in the hope that I might one day get to use them for my own offspring (can you imagine?). The one I really liked was Amelie, but kept my mouth shut in case it was stolen off me and would you believe it, it got stolen off me anyway! Not that I mind, mind, but it's strange that what was in my mind, was also in Ben's mind and Carole's mind, or am I out of my mind? Mind you... "This is your uncle Jon" Ben said as I was first introduced to my little niece, "he's exactly the same as daddy, but slightly taller, thinner and with more hair". And then I held this lovely little bundle of fun for five minutes before she started crying her eyes out. Amusingly, she is kept contented by Ben lifting her from waist-height to above head-height time after time after time, the only thing being that at 6lb 2oz, Ben can only manage twenty reps before his shoulders protest and when he stops, she cries!
