EASTER EGG HUNT 2005
Due to Ben and Carole's recent departure to the depths of South America for six months travelling, the occurrence of the Easter Egg Hunt for 2005 was under threat. However, after a few words with the organisers, the event was put back in the calendar and yesterday, Easter Sunday, it took place.
Having, the previous night, consumed several pints of lager and all the other spirits listed in the post below, I wasn't feeling particularly healthy and I was certainly unenthusiastic about the prospect of dashing around the garden in search of Easter Eggs, despite the possibility of having my name etched on the Whitehall Easter Egg Trophy. Eventually I mustered up a bit of energy and we were soon zipping around the garden searching for our prizes.
Amidst a relatively event-free hunt, Olivia emerged as victor - a well overdue achievement and one that we have definitely not heard the end of. Sophie, on the other hand, was still whining and complaining, whinging and moaning about how it was "so unfair" that her egg was hidden in the wendy house. How about next year we just hand you your eggs Sophie? Mind you, she'd probably still complain.
Anyway, I was a clear second which is no mean feat considering the state of my health. No name on the trophy this year, AGAIN, but I didn't disgrace myself. Mental note for next year: train hard, bribe the organisers and gag Sophie.

Best lost-but-in-denial quote: "I was a clear second". ;-) Well done Jac.
