KITCHEN FIRE
Debs received a phone call this afternoon to say that her kitchen was on fire and the fire brigade had knocked two large holes in the ceiling to water the roof.
Consequently she has to live in a hotel for the foreseeable because the smoke damage renders the flat uninhabitable. Quite a worry though, what if it had happened at night, what if the neighbours hadn't smelled smoke, and even worse - what if the fire had been a lot worse and I had been there?
It turns out that the boiler was faulty (by boiler I mean the heating appliance, not my girlfriend).
