ALEX HOUSEWARMING

Last night was a party at Alex's new abode. There were two reasons for the celebrations - Alex and Tony L's housewarming party and Tony L's birthday. Around thirty people were invited for the double celebration, with a barbecue, a sing-a-long and a jolly fine time on the agenda.

So, Mark R, Simon S, Michelle C and I rocked up in the blistering hot afternoon and before long the barbecue was lit. We made several crap jokes about sausages and even worse ones about baps and then played a game called 'donkey'. This involves keepie-up with a football and the worst offending player ends up having the ball pelted at his rear end by every other remaining player. Apologies to Mark R who (despite his pre-penalty limberings-up) was on the receiving end of a sweetly struck powerhouse bullseye shot to his butt-cheeks from yours truly.

Simon S also lost and took revenge by targetting me and soaking me with his weapon, so to speak. This was to prove unwise, as revenge was more than exacted, but Alex's rotting lattice fence was the main victim as parts were frequently snapping off after contact with the wayward football. "I don't know anything about it Alex, guv".

Eventually I grappled with Simon and wrestled the super-soaker off him, only to aim wide of the mark (HOW?) and drench a poor, unsuspecting girl who was happily munching on a cheeseburger. "Didn't mean to make you wet" I announced, to the perverted uproar of Mark R.

The rest of the evening was spent playing guitar and generally getting drunk. The barbecue came back out later on and there was a large fire in a barrel, much to the neighbour's disgust and then everyone went to bed.

It would have been nice if Tony L had turned up though.....
