HAIRCUT
Some of you may remember the haircut experience I had whilst living in Ealing, where I thought I was going to be executed in a death-by-razorblade incident, which resulted in me taking my business to Toni & Guy for several months whilst I recovered. However, this hit my wallet hard and now that times are getting hard again, I reasoned that it was about time to go to a cheaper establishment for a bit of a trim.
I sat down in the leather chair and told the oriental lady what I wanted done. She said nothing, just nodded and began frantically sharpening the scissors - just like the kebab man sharpens the knives before slicing the meat. I began to sweat, wishing that I'd just paid the extra and gone to Toni & Guy again.
She chopped and she hacked so quickly that she reminded me of one of those ancient oriental warriors wielding a pair of swords and slicing the air faster than you could believe. The hair literally fell off and covered the floor.
After she had dragged the blades of the scissors down my defenceless scalp, caught the comb in my ear and nearly stabbed my eye out, she handed me the mirror and told me that I had lovely coloured hair and that now it was this short, it would be far more easily manageable.
So here I am, once more left looking like a hardened convict and wishing I'd paid the extra.

Never mind, you'll not need a haircut in a few years...
