CHICAGO MADNESS

Chicago's in Watford was the venue. A 21st birthday party for a work colleague was the occasion.

Mayhem.

Mark R and I pitched up a couple of hours late, due to VH1's 'Bon Jovi Day', to find a drunken Darren B and several people from work happily downing After Shocks and such like.

Numerous silly dances, several expensive Smirnoff Ice, and countless stares from old women later (although Mark was in his element with the elder generation, with such lines as "well hello there, you're looking most radiant this evening" followed by a self-introduction, a kiss on the hand and an "enchanted, madame"), we stumbled out and headed for the new Kebab house, sandwiched (!) between two bars.

This kebab house seemed quite smart, for it had tables with chairs and everything. We kebabed up and sat at a table, just behind a 50-year old man with a moustache who was watching the world go by.

"Are you the proprietor of this establishment?" Mark enquired, in his very poshest accent. The Turkish man replied in the affirmative and continued to detail his life history as we guzzled away. You can always tell the quality of a kebab house by the chillies and the chillies I ate (which today I regret) were very good.

Anyway, off home we went, minus Amy B who was supposed to be staying but had got friendly with somebody and wandered off, and we passed out. Morning came and Mark was woken by stones thrown at his window - Amy had arrived back and spent FOUR HOURS sleeping on the doormat!
