BAD DAY

Yesterday was perhaps the worst day of the year to date. Why?

09.15 - Woke up with a stinking hangover
10.30 - Dumped by girl I was really really keen on
15.30 - Whole flat is fused by blown lightbulb - no spares
17.00 - Treadmill in gym breaks in mid-run, destroying rhythm
19.30 - Video recorder not working and cannot understand why
21.00 - With guitar over shoulder, walk into town to discover no Open Mic night this weekend
22.45 - pay £5 to get into Bar Risa, then discover that they're not serving beer.

However, the highlight of the day has to be the live music in O'Neill's. The only spare table was one on the edge of the small dancefloor, but far enough in to be in the way of potential dancers. Alex and I sat down and the music began. Soon the dance floor filled with extremely good looking women, dancing right in front of us. Suddenly my woes seemed very distant. More and more filled the dancefloor and soon we found ourselves drinking at the table, completely surrounded by dancing girls. Fan-bloody-tastic. Then the gay licencing laws kicked in and we had to leave. Poxy government.
