SO I'M TOLD....

In addition to Friday night's antics.....

Apparently, when we arrived home from the pub, we were all singing jingle bells rather loudly and, so as not to wake up the mother, I decided to change the tune to something less noisy - the tune from the Snowman. However, I was ascending the stairs at the time and altered the words to become 'I'm walking on the stairs'.....

Then, after a bit of push and shove to get into the bathroom before each other, we heard the mother awaken, at which point all hell broke loose. Sophie locked herself in the bathroom and cowered inside whilst Ben (wearing just his boxer shorts) and I scarpered. We both ran into my bedroom and both hid behind the door. We could hear the mother approaching, muttering about 'so much noise'. I panicked, there wasn't enough room for the both of us behind the door. Where else could I go? There! I took a running jump onto my bed and pretended to be passed out.

The door creaked open as the mother walked in. Ben froze behind the door, and I concentrated on doing my very best 'I'm asleep' acting. Perhaps we would get away with it? Perhaps she may just leave and think that she'd imagined the whole thing? Wrong. Ben could contain his laughter no more and let out a giggle from his hiding place. This, in turn, set me off laughing and the mother ushered us towards our rooms and encouraged us to get some sleep.

Ben is 28 years old, I am almost 24 and Sophie is 20 and we still try and hide from the mother if we think we're in trouble.....
