FRIDAY NIGHT
You can always count on a Friday night to be eventful.
We were all sat in the restaurant, myself, my cousin and 15 other people from work. The food was good, the drink flowed and soon the banter started. Steve shuffled over to me from his position round the other side of the table, he leaned towards me, ready to whisper something, so I leaned towards him slightly, only for him to blurt out the words "so which ones are the lesbians?" very loudly. This would have been ok had the lesbians not been sat RIGHT NEXT TO ME. They didn't seem to mind, though, and the previously classy conversation then deteriorated into a discussion about lesbianism.
So we moved on to the night club where most of the action took place. We had only been there an hour or so, when we decided that dancing would be a good idea. There we were, boogying away when the bouncers come up to Steve and ask him to step down from the dancefloor, which he did. They then said something to him and the next thing we know, he's been thrown out the back door. I toddled off to the main entrance to see my cousin talking to the bouncer in an attempt to talk him into letting Steve back in. "We're going to have trouble down here" the bouncer says into his radio, and with that, half a dozen bouncers throw SJ and Steve to the ground and call the police.
So I wandered outside to find SJ with his face against the pavement, Ed nursing his arm and Steve with four bouncers on him. The police arrived, Steve was taken away and we had no choice but to wander home, angry that our evening had been ruined for no reason by the door staff over-reacting.
However, some good news came out of it. Ed, who was driving that night and therefore sober, is pressing charges against them for assault, and the police say he has a good case. Steve got a police caution.
We will get our revenge.

Brilliant, utterly brilliant. You and I have been frequenting The Drink for ages, and then your boss turns up and cause sheer havoc.

WELL, technically it was Bar Mambo, but that's just me being picky.

There were 5 of us and we were in Bar Mambo. From now on, we would like to be known as the Mambo 5.
