Nobody stirred, we'd been subjected to it all day and another two minutes wasn't going to further our obvious concern. The time passed and after several more mini-outbursts of obviously excrutiating pain, Kate succeeded. She got the reaction she had long been seeking. SJ, the boss man and general figurehead of the office, finally cracked, not just partially, but absolutely totally and utterly, but it wasn't really the reaction Kate had expected. In a moment of sheer confusion and despair, SJ declared "Kate, you really are a bit of an aphrodisiac." After the laughter had died down and we'd wiped away the tears rolling down our cheeks, we felt it necessary to point out that SJ had, in fact, meant to declare that he thought Kate was a hypochondriac. Easy mistake to make, obviously.....
