GOLDEN PALACE

Please bear in mind that I have worse shakes than the San Francisco fault line.

Not being satisfied with the antics of the previous night, I went out to a local Chinese restaurant to celebrate a friend's birthday. This particular venue is open until 1am, has a dance floor, and was, last night, the scene of constant laughter. Buoyed by the unwelcome sight of my loudest shirt, all 30 of us sat down to dinner and the drink began to flow.

Dancing soon followed and it seemed like the perfect occasion to create more stupid dances. With the unrivalled aid of Tony C, the fishing, the front crawl, the pogo stick, the space hopper, the pneumatic drill, the waterskier, shagging the sheep, and the surfer were all born. God help Guildford.....

And I feel I should mention that my theory of girls being the oddest creatures since the one-legged river goat was backed up last night. Here's the scene - I am leant against the bar with a group of unknown girls next to me and a friend walks towards me. "We should organise a game of five-a-side one week, your team against mine" I said as he approached. At this point, one of the girls turned round and glared at me. "What?" I said. "Oh that's really funny" she said. My confusion was clearly visible. "Ummm, what are you talking about?" I asked, concerned about my safety. "Your competition" she replied, "you think you're really funny." I simply couldn't understand what she was blabbering on about, "please explain" I said. "I overheard you talking about five-a-side" she divulged, staring wildly at me. "You're trying to see who can pull me."

Very strange creatures, VERY strange.....
