From the sublime to the ridiculous

I LET YOU

There have been many times in my life where I have looked at the selection of DVDs on my shelf in the hope of finding a film I haven’t seen a hundred times. Sadly, it never happens. I refuse to trot down to Blockbuster, sign up for membership, pay over the odds for a DVD and get tempted by expensive crisps and so I tend to either watch mind-numbing television or read a book.

However, some bright spark over the pond has come up with a great concept. Rather than me having to watch the same film over and over again or succumb to Blockbuster, I could rent a DVD from someone else and get it delivered right to my door. Plus, I can also rent out my DVDs to someone else and make money from it! Genius.

Sadly it’s just in the US at the moment, but it should catch on over here. I won’t be renting out my Smokey and the Bandit Trilogy though, that’s far too precious.

Here’s the official website (BETA).
