TWELVE FINGERED FISH?
August 31st, 2006 Posted in Personal EventsI’m moving house this weekend. In fact I’m moving from a large double bedroom in a large unfurnished flat into a small single bedroom in a furnished flat. The problem is that I have an awful lot of furniture and ornaments that I can’t take with me, so I have been very bust this past week deciding which bits I can take and which pieces are to be put into store for the foreseeable.
Also to consider is food. The freezer was choc-a-bloc when I realised over the weekend that I really should eat its contents before moving and therein lies the reason for this post. I have just consumed an almighty 12 fish fingers, half a broccoli, half a pack of Sainsbury’s green beans, a large potato (mashed) and an entire sticky toffee cheesecake, all washed down with two cans of three-months-past-their-best-before-date Carling. And now I feel ever so slightly full.
Tomorrow I’ve got eight thin beef steaks, another half of broccoli, half a kilo of petit pois and a mountain of new potatoes to look forward to. And three quarters of a large tub of ice cream. May God have mercy upon my intestines, and anyone in my immediate vicinity.
