WHO WANTS TO HAVE A PERSONALITY?
March 13th, 2005 Posted in UncategorizedLast night I watched ‘Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?’ over dinner. Like most people, this is a programme that I like and that I enjoy, despite the frustratingly slow progress before anything interesting happens and the irritating intervention of advertisements. However, the episode last night tickled me at one point.
There was a guy on there from Gravesend - 25 years old, single and he was motoring up the rewards ladder. The thing is, he had no personality whatsoever. Every time Tarrant asked a question, whether it be about a question or after an answer, the guy mumbled a load of drivel that came to no conclusion and was just little phrases like “I think”, “you know”, “like” and “I just”. Unfortunately there seems to be a lot of people in this country that do not have a personality - they can’t communicate, they have no drive and it’s no wonder they remain single.
Having said that, an individual lacking personality can be unintentionally highly amusing. Such was the case last night. The guy had just won
