February 6th, 2005 Posted in UncategorizedAt work on Friday, I had a question for a colleague, so I approached her desk, noticing that she was concentrating on the screen of her palm pilot and gently tapping away with the screen pen.
I stood just behind her right shoulder, leaned down, clutching a piece of paper in my hand and said “hi”.
“AAARRRGGGHHHH!!!” she screeched and jumped out of her skin, dropping her palm pilot onto the floor via a chair leg and putting her hand on the top of her chest like a lot of women do when they’ve had a fright.
Everyone was staring, some laughing. I was a little surprised at such a reaction, but smiled in an ‘aren’t you odd’ kind of way before questioning “I’m not that scary am I?” and wandering off, leaving her shaking and picking up pieces of palm pilot…
