BIRTHDAY WEEKEND

Cardiff was the venue - celebrating my birthday (24 now - old).

Accompanied by Matt G, Sara M, Tim P, Nick L, Ian F, Mark R, Windy and the lovely Helen, we started proceedings by drinking Wife Beater (Stella) around 4pm. Then the vodka red bulls came out and we eventually went out for a swanky meal. Beer and wine flowed, Ian insulted the waitress, Matt G flashed his credit card and Nick gallantly defended his Gelert empire from constant abuse.

We headed for Bar Med in what was intended to be the first of several bars. Here, Payno and Mark R sneaked into a private party being held in a cordoned-off section of the bar which was protected by a bouncer, whilst Matt G tried to get me drunk and Nick L tried to hold up a sleepy Ian F.

“It’s so GAY to go home now” Windy whimpered at midnight, as Helen dragged him out. Meanwhile, Ian F had fallen asleep at the bar and Payno had gone into ‘I’m a dancing buffoon’ mode.

Several hours later the bar closed and we staggered out for a cab. Despite Ian’s intention to get beaten up and Payno’s attempts to get into a closed nightclub, we kebabed up and set for home, vowing to permanently return to Cardiff to relive the good old days.
