From the sublime to the ridiculous

At Sunday lunchtime, I shall be jetting off to the delights of Andorra for a week’s snowboarding. I have never been snowboarding in my life, in fact I’ve never even been skiing. However, I have salopettes and a jacket courtesy of Simon H, which are far too big for me, I have a fundamentally ridiculous blue and silver hat with long dangly bobbles, and a pair of child’s sunglasses, so all in all I reckon I’m well prepared.

    no it isn’t you ill-educated peasant. It is at lunch time on Sunday, therefore at Sunday lunchtime. If it were simply ‘on Sunday’, then yes, you would be right, but in this case you are plainly being an imbecile.

    At lunchtime on Sunday would actually be the correct phrase therefore….

    for goodness sake - ‘at lunchtime on Sunday’ is exactly the same as ‘at Sunday lunchtime’.
