UPDATE
August 20th, 2002 Posted in UncategorizedSorry about the lack of updates folks, but I have been busier than an especially busy thing during the busiest busy season ever.
So here goes:
Friday night: Barbecue at Annie K’s house, an event that never fails to host incidents of extreme hilarity and this one was no exception. There was one slice of cheesecake left and I could see everybody subtley eyeing it up. I also noticed that there was a deceased daddy-long-legs lying directly in front of me, so in one swift manoeuvre I threw the insect onto a plate, covered it in the cheesecake and handed it to Simon S who accepted it gleefully. He tucked in and began to exude joyful murmurs of gustatory pleasure, the cheesecake visibly revolving around inside his salivating mouth. I could contain my laughter no more and, joined by Nick M and Simon H, we giggled incessantly for an hour and a half.
Saturday night: Trip into Guildford to break the Cranleigh routine, we visited numerous bars and ended up in Cinderellas. I then woke up at 6am and found myself sat at the kitchen table with my head face down on the table cloth.
Sunday night: The excess of alcohol that I have consumed over the past couple of days caught up with me and my whole body was shaking erratically. Thanks to all at the Cranley Hotel for my card.
Monday: I booked a holiday to Corfu, leaving on Friday for a well deserved week in the sun. I just have to figure out how I’m going to pay for it…..
