From the sublime to the ridiculous

Well here we are again

Well here we are again - the usual Sunday update on the previous night’s antics. And what antics they were too.

Given that it was my BIRTHDAY on Thursday, I duly arranged a drunken outing to Guildford to celebrate the 23rd anniversary of my birth. However, the one condition was that all participants had to wear loud shirts. The only problem being that nobody actually owns any loud shirts apart from me. SO, consequently. we all went out in my vast collection.

In order to cause extreme embarrassment to those involved, I brought along what are termed ‘The Cards’. These are a collection of home-made cards, each one printed with a different chat-up line. The idea is that a player picks a card and then has to go and use the line on an unsuspecting female. Excellent plan, or so we thought. The cards were first brought out whilst we were sat on the bus on the way to Guildford and we managed to persuade a middle-aged woman to go through them one by one and pick out potential ‘winning cards’. And that was just the start.

After a game of 52’s in Wetherspoons, countless mixed drinks and perusal of ‘The Cards’, we eventually fought our way into The Drink, after Payno and I had a brief pause to produce our I.D….

There we danced the night away, met up with Becki and her friends and decided to try ‘The Cards’ once more. It’s at this point that the evening becomes ever so slightly hazey. I do seem to remember witnessing somebody throw up all over the floor, sticking a ‘Card’ down some poor girl’s top and the incident where Payno went missing and was found in the middle of the main road, ‘Card’ in hand and obediently reading it’s line to anybody who would listen.

Oh, and what dances they were - the Tennis Match, the Typewriter and the visually impressive Lawnmower were in full flow. We TORE up the dancefloor…
