Oh dear. The weekend. After
December 17th, 2001 Posted in UncategorizedOh dear. The weekend. After scoring the winning goal for Alfold on Saturday, the decision was taken to go and have a few beers in the Cranley Hotel. However, Simon H and I went dressed in afro wigs for the second week running, the only difference this week being that mine had Christmas lights in to match my Santa tie and flashing reindeer badge. It was horrendous.
Anyway, Sunday morning arrived and I discovered a strip of raffle tickets in my pocket, as well as a clothes peg attached to my shirt. Not a clue…..
Then I went to a pantomime in the afternoon with my brother in Wimbledon. Armed with large foam hands and sparkly wands, we heckled and booed to our hearts content. I booed so loudly in fact, that Widow Twanky pointed at me directly and said, in a broad Scottish accent “don’t you boo me laddie”. Splendid.
